RESUMEN
Medea de Eurípides es una de las tragedias clásicas que más veces han sido llevadas al cine. En el presente artículo se analizan dos de las adaptaciones más sobresalientes de la misma, la Medea de Pasolini y la Medea de Von Trier. El enfoque de análisis de este estudio es doble: por un lado, la adaptación cinematográfica de los diferentes episodios de la tragedia en ambas películas; por otro, la interpretación personal que los directores hacen del mito y de la figura de Medea.

ABSTRACT
Euripides’s Medea is one of the most frequently taken to the cinema classical tragedies. In this study two of the most outstanding film adaptations of this one are analyzed, Pasolini’s Medea and Von Trier’s Medea. The analysis approach of this study is twofold: on the one hand, the cinematographic adaptation of the different episodes of the tragedy in both films; on the other hand, the personal interpretation that the directors have about the myth and the figure of Medea.
