UNA LECTURA DE LA LISÍSTRATA A PARTIR DELS REFLEXOS CORALS DEL PARTENI I L’HIMENEU

RESUM
Aquest article pretén oferir una lectura de la Lisístrata d’Aristòfanes tenint en compte una sèrie de referències a —i interferències amb— els anomenats gèneres de la lírica coral arcaica, en particular a l’himeneu i als partenis, seguint el mètode d’anàlisi que va establir per a l’estudi dels cors tràgics L.A. Swift a The Hidden Chorus: echoes of genre in tragic lyric. En aquest llibre, Swift ja va demostrar que la presència d’aquests ecos de l’antiga lírica coral no podia ser, només, decorativa o ornamental, un mer producte de l’origen coral del teatre, sinó que s’havia d’explicar per una voluntat conscient del poeta tràgic de lligar estretament el conjunt de connotacions socials i normatives que despertava en el públic l’ús d’un gènere coral determinat amb l’acció dramàtica i ritual de l’obra. Aquí, doncs, intentem explicar el paper i el significat del cor a la Lisístrata d’Aristòfanes partint d’aquestes premisses.

ABSTRACT
This paper intends to offer a reading of Lysistrata taking on account a series of references to —and interferences with— the so-called genres of archaic choral lyric, particularly hymenaios and partheneia, following the analytical method established for a study of tragic choruses by L.A. Swift in The Hidden Chorus: echoes of genre in tragic lyric. In his book, Swift proved that the presence of such echoes of ancient choral lyric couldn’t be just ornamental, just a product of the choral origin of theatre, but it had rather to be explained by a conscious will of the tragic poet to connect the whole of social connotations and norms aroused in the audience by a particular choral genre with the dramatic action and ritual of the piece. So, we intend to explain from such premises the role and the meaning of the chorus in Aristophanes’ Lysistrata.
