Using an ego-network approach, this study examines whether and to what extent an individual strategic orientation to cooperation (i.e. tertius iungens) contributes to strengthening the relation between two personal network properties (structural and institutional separation) and involvement in innovation.

Regenerative Medicine as an Emergent Cluster in Tampere Region

Emergent clusters diversify regional economies with new technologies and industries, like regenerative medicine (RM), which relies heavily on academic research. Academia drives this cluster's emergence, aiming for research commercialization despite no current commercial outcomes. Understanding such early-stage clusters is crucial for tailored socio-economic policies.
